Leisa has been a very influential member of the House family since she married our youngest brother Brick. She inspired us when she studied for her Master's degree, and graduated. For the past seven years she has valiantly battled the evil which took her away from us. She was a warrior and we were again inspired by her courage. Brick's pain in losing her is felt by all his siblings and close friends. We know she is finally at peace in heaven. We will miss her forever.

Holding Leisa and Family to the Light. As a regional program specialist, Leisa has been my supervisor for the last three years. This has been a time of never before experienced unknowns, innovations and learning to work with our customers in new ways. She led us with trust. She trusted we would learn to adapt and grow to meet '20, '21 and '22 challenges. She was available to question and guide, but trusted I would complete my responsibilities to Region 2. Trust. Lead on!!! Thank you, Leisa.

Praying for Leisa’s friends and family. I know you all know how incredibly special she was. As I’ve thought a lot about her this week and everything that has been said about her in the VR world it is clear she has left a legacy and impact that will continue now that she is gone. Her impact will ripple throughout time. So many lives of customers she impacted. All of us who work in VR who learned and grew because of her. The difference she made will never end. We are so blessed to have known her and served with her.

I know your heart 💜 is heavy. Leisa had a sweet spirit and it was my pleasure to work with her at MRO. This world needs more people like Leisa in it.

Brick, Greg and I are so very sorry for your grief. Leisa is with our Lord and we are happy she is pain free. I can only imagine the loss you feel by her physical absence, though. I am praying for God’s comfort and peace for you. Much love! Rayna

Some of my best memories growing up came from walking across the pasture to hang out with you and Leslie at your house. And ride in those it stupid donkeys LOL. So many memories though they were a long ago same just like yesterday! I miss those days. You are always the kindest person with the sweetest smile no matter where are you went and who you talk to and you will be missed And remembered. You were definitely called home way too soon. My prayers go out to your family! I can’t even begin to imagine the heartbreak they are going through right now I pray the Lord will comfort them.

Obituary

On Tuesday, August 23, Leisa Renee House, loving wife, sister, daughter, and friend passed away at the age of forty-eight.

She was an avid student and athlete at Blooming Grove High School, Blooming Grove, TX, where she was on the National Honor Society, JV and Varsity Basketball, and graduated Valedictorian in 1991.  She then went on to Navarro Junior College, Texas A&M University, and Texas Women’s University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1995 with a B.S. in Psychology.  In 2012 she completed her masters from the University of Kentucky, also Summa Cum Laude.

Leisa was a positive force.  She was supposed to interview for the Regional Director’s position on the day she passed away.  Two days prior, she was reviewing her interview note cards.  She always focused on the positive in all pursuits.  Leisa also had a love of Neil Diamond, true crime TV and was a collector of everything to do with Ernie from Sesame Street.  She loved dogs and had a great way with them.

Leisa was known for her quick-witted humor, fierce determination, and generous spirit. She is survived by her husband, Brick House, her sister Leslie Ruby, grandmother Marscine Ruby, mother Deborah Carmichael, father Ken Ruby, aunts, Cindy Raffetto, Cretia Drydale, Christine May, and uncle Kevin Ruby.  She was lucky to have many cousins and friends in her life.

In Lieu of Flowers

Leisa really loved dogs and would be happy to have you donate to your local SPCA in lieu of flowers.  To the left were her dogs Maxwell and Jasmine T. House

God Needed Her for a Special Project (she was very good at those)
